Hifu

What is HIFU?

HIFU (High Intensity Focused Ultrasound) is a non-invasive ultrasound treatment that promotes the production of new collagen, which then helps to lift and tighten the skin. The results from this treatment is similar to that of a surgical facelift but without the cutting and disruption to your skin’s surface.

The treatment can be applied to treat numerous areas of concern, such as the cheeks, jawline/double-chin area and neck.

How It Works

HIFU penetrates the surface layers of the skin and focuses the ultrasound energy into the deeper layers of the skin. As this happens, it creates small pinpoint heat zones in the deep muscle layer of the skin and stimulates the production of newer, better collagen fibres, causing them to thicken and shorten, giving you a long-term tightening and lifting effect.

How long does each session take?

Each session should take approximately 50 minutes.

Is it painful? Is there any downtime?

The pain from the HIFU treatment is manageable with appropriate numbing cream. The treatment has no downtime for most cases*.

Is it safe?

HIFU is a very safe treatment in the hands of trained professionals. Nevertheless, we recommend you to get a proper assessment done with our doctors prior to the treatment.

Am I suitable for this treatment?

The HIFU treatment is suitable for most skin types. However, if you have a history of sensitive skin or if you are unsure if there are any other concerns that might affect your suitability for the treatment, do consult our doctors.
